Communication among our members is very important. We are a
community of faith and express this in a number of ways:
-
We greet each other warmly when we meet, whether at church or other
places
-
We care about our members and want to hear about their lives: their
joys, sorrows, achievements, and notable events
-
We support each other: both in our personal and professional roles.
To enable communication, we use a variety of methods. One of these is
e-mail. We have several e-mail lists and encourage members to
consider signing up for one or more:
-
Community list:
Our church community e-mail list was created to help us communicate.
We would like all members to be on the Community list if
possible. Our guideline for this list is:
"If the item would be appropriate to announce during a service, it is
appropriate for the Community e-mail list."
-
For example, an e-mail item such as "We're looking for new choir
members and invite you to our Tuesday rehearsal" would be appropriate,
but "At our Tuesday choir rehearsal, it was apparent that the bass
section really needs to work on measures 40 to 60, so please be
prepared" would be better sent to a list which has only choir members
-- or maybe just the bass section ;-).
-
Or "we have a new schedule up for coffee hour and really need your
help" would be good, but "We're moving to Longmont and our new address
is...." should be sent to our
Parish Administrator so we can update the church records.
-
All solicitation of funds outside the stewardship campaign must be
approved by the Bishop's committee before sending to the community
e-mail list.

CoffeeChat: CoffeeChat is meant to be used for discussions that
you might have at Coffee Hour after a Sunday Service. It is meant for
conversations, invitations, and other social communications that
wouldn't be appropriate as an announcement during in a worship service
(those go to the Community e-mail list).
-
Offers of services such as rentals, handyman, and the like are welcome
here. Social invitations are also welcome. Relevant church humor may
be tolerated. Please, no politics.
