Here's the scoop on the King Soopers "Neighborhood Rewards Program".

This is a great way to contribute to St. Brigit's mission and ministries and it costs you nothing extra! Whenever we hit $5,000 in initial orders and "reloads", King Soopers cuts us a check for 5% of that, or $250. Pretty simple! If you're on the road, any Kroger store (including Kroger, City Market, etc) will accept the gift card and can even reload it for you.

To participate, just send me an e-mail or catch me at church and let me know how many cards you want. Your first card(s) must be paid for with cash or check. OR, occasionally I will have a limited number of cards with zero value on them. Ask me if I have any, and I can just hand you one. No money changes between us, but St. Brigit still reaps the reward when you reload the card.

Once you have your card, follow these Instructions for use:

  1. Do your shopping as usual.
  2. Get in line to check out.
  3. IMPORTANT part: Tell the checker you want to do a separate purchase FIRST to reload money on the card. You can use cash, credit or debit to pay for the reload. This can be done at a register or at the service desk. I usually do mine at the register.
  4. After you complete the transaction to reload the card, then checkout as usual and use your reloaded card to pay for your groceries.
  5. Hold onto the card even if you spend all the money on it. A card with zero value expires in 90 days, so you have plenty of time to reload it. A card with any value on it never expires. If the program isn't working for you for any reason, please return the card to me.

You can reload any amount onto the card: $5 to $50,000 :-). We get 5% of the reload, regardless of the amount.

You can use your card to fill up your vehicle at King Soopers fuel pumps. Just like groceries, we get 5% of the fuel you buy (let me thank you now!). The store at Colorado & Firestone Boulevards four miles north of the church has pumps; if that one's not convenient for you, try one of these stores.

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way. Thanks!
